The second chapter of URDU's most beloved original character series has arrived — six new Fukuheya companions, each hand-crafted with premium soft vinyl and dressed in an expanded colour palette drawn from Kyoto's four seasonal gardens.
Since debuting in 2022, Fukuheya has become the heart of URDU's original character universe. The series draws on Japanese aesthetics — wabi-sabi simplicity, the quiet dignity of handcrafted objects, the idea that a small figurine can hold an entire world inside it. Series 1 sold out in under a week at launch events across Hong Kong. The waitlist for Series 2 has been open since October.

Series 2 introduces six core characters, each named after a specific moment in the seasonal Japanese calendar:
- Yukimi — Snow-viewing, dressed in pale blue and white with frost-glass eyes
- Hanami — Cherry blossom season, soft pink with petal-embossed base
- Natsu — Midsummer, vivid coral and saffron with a sun motif on the chest
- Tsukimi — Moon-viewing, silver-grey with gold crescent detailing
- Momiji — Autumn leaves, warm ochre and rust with maple-leaf accents
- Yuki — Deep winter, midnight navy with subtle glitter-fleck finish (chase figure, 1:12 ratio)
Material & Craft
Every piece in Series 2 is produced from the same premium soft vinyl used in Series 1 — a proprietary compound that gives Fukuheya its distinctive tactile quality, somewhere between plush and sculpture. The figurines stand approximately 12cm tall and are finished entirely by hand in URDU's production studio.
New for Series 2: each character arrives in a redesigned box featuring an illustrated garden scene, printed on uncoated paper stock with spot UV on the character window. The packaging is fully recyclable.
Where to Get It
Fukuheya Series 2 is available now through the URDU Online Shop on Shopify, and in person at selected Hong Kong retailers. Characters are sold individually (HKD 298 each) or as a full set of six (HKD 1,580, includes certificate of completeness).
A limited run of the Yuki chase figure will also be available exclusively at URDU's booth during the Hong Kong Ani-Com & Games convention in July 2025 — the only physical venue where it will be sold outside of the Shopify lottery.
A Note from the Design Team
Fukuheya started as an exploration of a simple question: what does a character look like when it has no brand obligation, no licensing partner, no brief beyond "be beautiful"? The answer, we found, is something surprisingly quiet. These figures don't shout. They sit on a shelf and reward the person who looks closely.
Series 2 is everything we learned from Series 1, done with more confidence. We hope you love them as much as we do.
